Nothing except the location. Dirty rooms and bed linen. The hotel smells of the nearby curry takeaway and is very strong in the bedrooms. The pictures do reflect the current condition or facilities.

Good location for work, some on‑site parking plus other public parking nearby. Central to the town, so when the hotel restaurant was closed, it wasn’t far to walk to other good places. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The shower curtain was covered in mould, as was the shampoo dispenser. My sheets were stained and long black hair was found in the bed – honestly, it looks like room 14 hasn’t been cleaned deeply for a while and the sheets should have been replaced. I have staff who have stayed in the same room a few weeks before, so this isn’t a one‑off issue! I didn’t talk to the evening manager/bar staff as she was rushed off her feet, but she was friendly enough – in the morning I was too tired and rushing myself to argue the toss with the gentleman at reception.

The hotel looked very tired, breakfast was only passable, rooms were tired as well, and the breakfast was poor.

The staff were warm and friendly, the spot is great, food was good, but there are no sockets near the bed, the mattress feels a bit worn and could use a replacement, and there was no hot water in the shower even after running it for 10 minutes.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the location is excellent—just a short walk from the train depot and convenient to all parts of town, and the bus stop is right across the street.
