I stayed one night while waiting for the ferry to the Orkneys the next day. The room was great—very spacious, a super comfy bed, and a good bathroom. I would stay again if I ever returned.

They didn’t offer breakfast, so the hotel only provided a room‑only rate. The location was fine and the staff were friendly. The building needs a full refurbishment: the bed was very uncomfortable and everything else had to be replaced. The room and bathroom were poorly lit, the shower didn’t work, and there appeared to be rainwater leaking into a common area with a partially collapsed ceiling. The street entry was insecure.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. There are two bars: one is great for a casual chat and the other is suitable for working on a laptop.

The room was spacious, centrally located in the town centre, and parking was nearby. The staff were accommodating, but the advertised “high‑speed broadband” worked only in the bar, not in the room.
