The dinner was good. The blanket was smelly; although the bedding is changed, it would be worth washing the blanket and pillows.

I LOVE the location high up among trees with a cosy yard between the old and new buildings, situated in a lush and pretty part of Aachen. Roadside parking is not on the premises, yet I never had trouble finding a spot. The best part was the friendliness of the lady at reception: I called ahead because I’d arrive later than planned, and she already made me feel welcome even though I was still hundreds of kilometres away. Thank you! (Tip: they really appreciate it if you phone in advance when you know you’ll be late.) I was also lucky to share the room with another single travelling woman of similar age.

A beautiful youth hostel tucked into the forest, incredibly quiet. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was balanced.

It was clean. It was too cold because of cold I couldn’t sleep. Dinner was just chicken nuggests although they had told me that there was going to be pasta bolognese
