The hacienda has a really charming, picture‑postcard look that’s been kept nicely for its age. The bathroom, however, looks tired and could do with a simple remodel – no need for luxury, just a fresh feel would help the rooms. Overall it’s a nice place if they sort the washroom.

The place definitely has an authentic colonial vibe, but the shower was practically unusable and we were the only guests there. At night there was nobody from the hotel on site, and the only restaurant was the hotel itself, yet meals kept showing up late and the promised breakfast never arrived. For what they charge it feels way overpriced – about twice what the best hotel in town costs – and we left after one night because basic services like food weren’t provided.

The setting is beautiful, full of history and great views that make the place special. Unfortunately the bathrooms are sub‑par and need serious attention. If they upgrade the restrooms, it would be a solid spot.

The staff are fantastic and really care about the place; they even run an orchard and use the veggies in the kitchen, which gives the whole experience a genuine, rustic feel. I’ve visited twice and loved it, though the bathroom could be cleaner and a bit nicer. All in all, a warm, farm‑to‑table stay worth repeating.
