The large terrace at the 4‑star hotel across the street was a highlight, but the 3‑star Montmorency hotel next door is in a shabby building. Our ground‑floor suite was ugly, with windows on both sides and a floor‑to‑ceiling front window that let in sight of the neighboring building. The décor was awful, featuring red curtains and a concrete slab floor, with no seating furniture inside. The shower was dirty with mold at the bottom, and the window didn’t seal properly. The bread at breakfast was bland and soggy. I spoke to the manager and received a €25 compensation that I hadn’t requested.
