“Great location and friendly staff in Hongdae area”
Everyone we met was kind and helpful, speaking both Chinese and English. The location is excellent, tucked in a quiet alley near main streets, about a 10‑minute walk from the AREX train at Hongik University station. There are many cafés along World Cup Buk‑ro 5‑gil and Donggyo‑ro. A cute cat and two kittens hang out in the yard—hope they’re doing well! Runners will appreciate the nearby trail options: heading north on Gyeongui Line Forest Park leads to the Hongjecheon stream trail, which runs parallel to Seongsan‑ro. From Hongjecheon, going west brings you to the Han River, where additional trails run north or south; going east takes you to the Hongejecheon artificial waterfall, where you can loop back. You can cross the stream at certain points by stepping on large stones, similar to Kyoto’s Kamo River. The route has about two stoplights. The basement triple unit had mildew/mold in the air vent, which we only noticed after returning at night, so we couldn’t address it until the next day. I hope they cleaned it afterward. I suggest keeping the bathroom fan on at all times in that unit, as moisture from the building and outside can accumulate.
