The lakeside spot is spot‑on. The balcony is big and sunny, the room was spotless, and the staff were very friendly. The owner even speaks a bit of German. We missed a sunshade on the balcony – at midday, when it was scorching, we couldn’t use it, which was a bit disappointing. Dinner at the restaurant was okay, nothing special, perhaps because only one chef was on duty that day.

We spent three dreamy days at Ortasee. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly, and the kitchen even prepared a snack for us while the restaurant was still closed. The buffet breakfast left no room for complaints, and the dinner was also delicious. The great view of Ortasee and the staff’s hospitality are what stick with us. The hotel sits on a partly busy road, which unfortunately brings some noise, but it didn’t bother us further.
