“A very disappointing and frustrating stay, with excessive early-morning noise, concerning security issues and poor servi”

The hotel was in a great location, and the air conditioning worked really well. The receptionist who assisted us at checkout was also very apologetic and understanding about the issues we had experienced. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made our stay very disappointing. Builders began hammering at 7:00 am and continued for around three hours, while the cleaning staff shouted loudly across the corridor early in the morning. We also woke up to find our room door open, which raised serious concerns about security. Thankfully, we had the latch secured. When we checked out, the receptionist apologised and suggested that the door may not have been secured properly and that builders working on our floor might have tried the wrong door. Although we appreciated his apology, the situation was still very unsettling. The service when paying was also frustrating. The receptionist initially didn’t have enough change, so we had to wait until the following day. Despite having a full day to arrange it, the hotel still didn’t have the necessary cash, and we were made to wait again while staff went out to ask local people for change. Additionally, the handheld bidet spray beside the toilet leaked and dripped constantly throughout the night, disturbing our sleep. We understand this was a budget hotel, but basic standards of security, noise control, maintenance and customer service should still be met. For a three-star hotel, we expected much better
