There was no wash‑up equipment in the cabin for dishes.

Waking up to a view of horses, springboks, and the mountains was a real treat, but it felt like we were miles from home even though it’s only 40 minutes away.

The view of the mountains, bucks, and geese was amazing, the place was very peaceful and separate from other guests, yet we could still sense their presence, which was nice; the hot tub was a clear highlight and got nice and warm, perfect for a cold autumn evening. Coffee and milk were in the room, the fridge was large, and there was a braai area that we didn’t use. We drove a short distance to Val du Charron for supper. The property had friendly, large dogs, one of which I fell in love with. The accommodation price was extremely fair, the on‑site restaurant had friendly staff and great breakfasts, and Martyn was very responsive on WhatsApp. I would definitely return, maybe for more than one night next time. I can’t find anything to complain about.
