The hotel sits in a prime spot, just 100 m from Mr. Brown Boulevard, and the sitting area and dining room offer the best scenery with Chishang rice fields and mountains in view. Free bicycles are available for rides along the rice fields and nearby spots. The owner is humble, kind, and very hospitable, letting us use the kitchen whenever we wanted to make coffee or milk tea. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from the train station and taxis are limited; renting a scooter or e‑bike is recommended.

I booked through a site and was told upon arrival that we couldn’t stay because of a dog policy. I explained my car is electric and the pet would stay in the car, not the room, but the owner insisted on kicking us out and claimed their website had the rule. They should just stop listing on online platforms and let guests read their own site.

Breakfast was pretty good, the restaurant overlooks a stunning view and they offer bicycles. Children require an extra fee.
