After our other hotel cancelled us last minute, we booked Hilton and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! The view was incredible, the staff helpful, and breakfast great. The only downside was the elevators – you have to change them when moving from the rooms to the first floor, but it was a minor inconvenience.

Excellent hotel, well connected, with great facilities. The bed quality and breakfast stand out, and the value for money is excellent.

I was hoping a Hilton would have staff who speak English, and after 25 years I know how handy translation apps can be, so I was a bit let down that Lanzhou isn’t Shanghai; also the hotel restaurant closed after 9 pm.

The rooms were great, the pool was great, and the breakfast was great, but the internet didn’t work—blame the PRC, not Hilton.
