Overlooking the valley, air-conditioned accommodations feature satellite TVs and private bathrooms. Breakfast is served on a covered veranda or in a light dining room. The retreat is 20 km from Kruger National Park and 3 km from Sabie River Adventure Centre.

We had a brief one-night stay at Cuckoo Ridge, and the two‑bedroom unit worked great for our family of four, especially with its huge shower and bathtub. The braai attached to the unit was a highlight, and the location on a good stretch of road toward Hazyview and the Kruger cut down travel time for an early departure. No complaints at all, and the host was very gracious. We’ll definitely return for a longer stay next time!

I liked everything about the place; it was clean and the unit had all the self‑catering equipment you could think of, including an air fryer. There’s nothing to complain about, except that the blanket feels old‑fashioned and uncomfortable; otherwise, the bedding is excellent.
