Clean rooms, friendly staff, and plenty of nearby attractions, though it takes 20 minutes to reach Starved Rock State Park. Free coffee and fruit are available all day and night, but the breakfast and coffee themselves were underwhelming. I asked for an item that the staff never delivered, and overall the price feels steep for the area.

The location was close to hiking, which was good. The rooms were not ready at the 2 pm check‑in time, the AC in the second room didn’t work, we asked to be on the same floor and that didn’t happen, the hot tub was not functioning, and the pool had algae all over it, making it unsanitary to swim in.

Grassy area for dogs. No air conditioning. Pool had mold and algae and could not see the bottom it was so dirty. Door did not stop opening automatically so had to switch rooms, but then the air didn’t work. When switching, left my bag in the room and was unable to have access to it to retrieve it prior to having to leave crammed 8 people into one room because it was too hard to sleep in the 100 degree room

The staff were very nice and helpful, gave great recommendations for local restaurants and Starved Rock State Park, and breakfast was also very yummy. Cleanliness was rated a little lower because there were quite a few ants in the indoor pool area and breakfast area, and the ants have been really bad this year due to all the extra rain.
