The guesthouse was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the little shop next door was very handy. Breakfast was good, though the lack of options was a shame. Overall it was fine. The price jumped from 28€ just five minutes before we arrived to 36€ at reception—a bad surprise, but nothing else went wrong.

Simple yet effective, clean with the essentials. The staff were friendly. You could book a transfer to 4000 islands. Breakfast had no choice; the boxed orange juice was too sweet and the sachet latte was overly sugary, but it did the job.

The room was cozy, the family was sweet, and they also had a shop, which was convenient. The location was good—you could walk anywhere, and it was about 10 km from Wat Phou, offering good value for money. The shower was cold, but seeing many Laotians wash in rivers and the Mekong, I couldn’t complain too much.
