“A quirky stay in a very unusual “hotel” which had plus points & some negatives”

It was quite unusual but had a strong atmosphere; the restaurant was excellent and the coffee lounge was very good, and the music and water show on the grounds were a nice bonus. The downside was that our room was on the top of one tower on the third floor – the lift stopped at the second floor, so we had to carry our bags up a spiral staircase, which was inconvenient, and walking around the hotel felt excessive. The room itself was basic, missing many amenities such as a phone, and the bathroom facilities were also lacking.

We’re a retired couple who were assigned a third‑floor room in a wing without an elevator, so we had to climb stairs with our luggage, which was a real hassle. The breakfast and location were very good, but the restaurant and our room were infested with a lot of flies.

The location of the rooms in the courtyard was great, the breakfast was fine, and the light fountain with music was nice, though I was a bit disappointed that it was dimmer at night. The castle tour with a guide was included in the room price, and I liked the tower tour (purchased separately). The elevator only served one part up to the second floor; from the elevator to our room we had to walk across the whole castle and then down steep spiral stairs to the floor. When there are many tourists, I can’t find a way to park my car.

The room was huge, the breakfast tasty, and the surrounding park around the palace was beautiful. The palace itself looked like a fairytale film set, which was amazing. At night the room felt a bit cold; even on warm, sunny days the heating should have been turned on.

einfach ein traum und der typische schloss charakter wie im film, Essen, Personal, Zimmer, Park und Springbrunnen, Parkplatz einfach nur super schön alles. nichts
