Everything was calm and smooth, but the room’s position near the elevator exit made the mornings noisy.

The room was ready for our arrival, but the housekeeping and organization during our stay were somewhat lacking; a staff member entered the room without announcing himself while we were still lying down, and the room was close to the staff hub on the floor, making it noisy in the morning.

The service was fine and the breakfast was satisfactory; we received some fruit in the room as a courtesy with a handwritten card, which was very kind. However, we paid an extremely high rate for a single night on a holiday, the mini‑fridge was empty, the toilet didn’t work, it was clogged and the drain broke in the middle of the night, the sheets had no elastic so they slipped off the bed, and the duvet was small and old—overall it wasn’t worth it.

The housekeepers’ service was very good, but we booked two double rooms and were told upon arrival that they were single rooms; we had to pay an extra fee to accommodate ourselves. The booking site was unclear, so next time I’ll try to book directly with the hotel. It was a shame that the reception staff kept insisting that my wife present her CPF; she is American, lives in the US, and has no CPF, so after much explanation the staff member took her passport number instead.
