The hotel’s location near the island’s center was convenient. Despite its five‑star rating, a huge cockroach fell onto our bed on the first afternoon; we killed it with the spray left in the room, but when we mentioned it to the owner, they said they’d check while we went to dinner, yet the dead bug was still there when we returned, and we also discovered a worm under the duvet. The room was poorly insulated, letting in rooster crowing, mosque prayers at 4 am (common in many parts of Indonesia), and other guests’ voices. We decided to leave the next day even though we had already paid for the night—truly disappointing.

The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the staff are friendly and helpful, but the breakfast could have been better in terms of variety and quality.

Great location, comfortable and nice stuff, but there were so many mosquitoes in the room that every night I killed at least 6–7 in a few minutes; maybe better isolation of the bungalows would help.
