The room was very large and comfortable, and the pool was the highlight of the stay; having coffee and tea in the mornings was a nice touch. The furniture felt a bit old and mismatched, and the property could benefit from fresh paint and a power wash.

The location offers beautiful hillside and sunrise views, and it’s a short drive to CalPoly, downtown SLO, and the freeway; I felt safe and got a good price. The front‑desk staff were friendly. It feels like an older 2‑star that could use a remodel, but that would raise the nightly rate. Room 316 needs a new mattress and pillows, and the hotel seems to be saving on water with ultra‑low‑flow shower heads, so extra shower time is required.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are large with good beds, and everything you need is in the room. There are plenty of food spots within a 5‑15 minute walk, and CalPoly is less than a 5‑minute drive. Everything matches the description. The décor feels a bit outdated, the toiletries are low quality, and the hairdryer only blows cold air.

We especially liked the professional welcome and the facilities, the large room, and the pool with jacuzzi. The proximity to the highway caused noise disturbances.
