The traditional Japanese décor is beautiful, the setting is peaceful and serene in a central, great location, and the staff are welcoming. Nothing was wrong; it was perfect.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and more, making this an exceptional experience. We can only highly recommend the Village Kiramachi.

The staff were small but extremely attentive, offering excellent hospitality and customer service; the location is close to city life yet tucked into a quiet alley, and the mattresses are very comfortable. They kindly let us check in early and check out late to accommodate our travel plans, and they even provided a free traditional breakfast the morning before we left. The only drawback was that the stairs are a bit tricky even for two reasonably fit young people.

This isn’t just a stay at a ryokan in Kyoto—it might be the best hospitality experience I’ve ever had, even after traveling a lot; I’m at a loss for words and wish I could have stayed longer. I can’t wait to return to a place where you feel at home instantly. Thank you so much for the warm welcome.
