Parking right at the entrance was handy and the staff were genuinely friendly, but the room itself felt pretty shabby – a moldy vase, grimy doors, an ancient pillow, and the air‑conditioning kept blowing icy air even on the highest setting. The condenser was noisy and dripped onto the balcony, and you have to climb a lot of stairs to reach the rooms.

The hotel is right in the middle of everything, so walking to nearby spots is a breeze, and the breakfast actually blew my expectations out of the water. Everyone on the staff was attentive and helpful. The only snag was the missing elevator, which made lugging luggage up a few floors a bit of a pain.

Being just steps from the Basilica and having staff who were quick to assist made the stay enjoyable, yet the mattress was rock‑hard and an unidentified noise kept me up most of the night. Adding a simple bottle of hand soap would also improve the room.

The bedding smelled fresh and everything was spotless; the air‑conditioner ran quietly while keeping the room nicely cool, and the shower delivered a strong spray inside a spacious enclosure. The only downside was the television, which only offered two local channels.
