I loved the view, but I didn’t like that the room had no air conditioning or external ventilation system. With the open window, the possibility of insects or monkeys entering was high, and the lack of ventilation surprised me.

The room was spacious and the view was great, but the staff were a mixed bag – some were super friendly while others were downright rude, even talking behind our backs in the local language for simple requests, and one person outright refused to wash a kids’ bottle. On top of that, a flat 10 % service charge plus hidden taxes felt outrageous.

The reception and restaurant staff were friendly, but the room fell short: the bedsheet was too thin to keep us warm, a spider lurked in the room, and curtains smelled off. My husband suffered food poisoning from dinner, vomited all night, missed breakfast, and woke up later because a loud industrial dryer or washing machine rattled the room. The toilet was wobbly. Despite these issues, the front office was helpful. For my husband’s birthday I asked only for a bed decoration, yet they surprised us with a cake and firecrackers from the restaurant. They were nice to offer it, but they should have confirmed whether such a celebration was welcome; my husband, who dislikes public cake cutting and loud noises, was upset but stayed quiet to avoid disappointing the staff. Management should address these small details.

The scenery was stunning, and every room offered a beautiful mountain view; the tea‑making experience was also unique and the staff’s dedication was appreciated, making the price feel worthwhile given the location and tea experience. However, rooms directly below the factory were noisy during the day, disrupting the calm atmosphere the view provides. Thankfully the staff moved us to a quieter room, which restored the peaceful experience.
