The hotel itself is wonderful, crafted with love and great taste. We stayed in a Bird room on the second floor – huge, comfortable, very pretty. The beds were comfortable, everything needed was there and thoughtfully arranged. The grounds are small but pleasant. Breakfasts are good, the pre‑ordered restaurant food is not high‑end. Nearby is a great warung. The hotel is deep in a village, which brings all the usual rural noises: rooster crowing, dogs barking, motorbike traffic starting very early. You can see it as village romance, but the neighbors are music lovers. Every evening and almost every morning they play loud (very loud!) music. When we arrived, it felt like we’d be living next to a rave. I asked the front desk what music it was and how long it would play. They said the neighbors had some ritual (with rave music? okay). I think the manager knew these “rituals” happen every night. The first night they turned the music off after two hours. The second night we heard it until 23:00. The next morning the neighbors woke up early – and we did too, because the music started all around at 7:00. Away from tourist spots on Bali, we expected silence and privacy, but ended up living like in a Turkish all‑inclusive hotel with 24‑hour animation. It’s the most beautiful hotel we’ve stayed at in Bali, but also the biggest disappointment and worst experience. I would not recommend it to friends.
