Breakfast was excellent—fresh, extensive, and served without a buffet, which I liked. The staff were friendly, and the hotel’s location was great, just a few minutes from the Rhine.

The hotel was a disaster: our room was on the second floor and we had to go down to the first floor and then up the emergency stairs to reach it. The bathroom was ancient, filthy, and apparently hadn’t been cleaned for years. The room looked more like a storage space, and the mattresses were catastrophic; my partner and I had to go to the doctor after the weekend because we had back problems from the mattresses. You should remove this hotel from your program. Nothing about the hotel pleased us at all.

I was greeted by staff who spoke neither German nor English, and the two rooms they offered were disastrous; the bathroom was extremely noisy, which contradicts the pictures. At check‑out, the only employee I saw took the key, went into the kitchen, and never returned. I also disliked that the fire safety was ignored: there was no smoke detector on the ceiling, the fire extinguishers were unlabeled and unmarked, and the one I saw was lying on the floor instead of being wall‑mounted—this could be dangerous if something happened.

The breakfast was somewhat acceptable, but there was no buffet; food was slowly and sparsely brought to the table. We had booked and paid for a double room, yet upon arrival they tried to put us in a storage closet (a terrible way to describe it) with a single bed. No prior notice of the overbooking was given. We struggled to get a second bed placed in the cramped room. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet flush was broken, and there was no light—definitely not a pleasant stay. The only bright spot was that we got half of the pre‑paid money back.
