I was greeted immediately with friendly energy upon arrival, which was a refreshing change from the previous hotel, but El Monte’s area is a bit odd; all the food spots and attractions I wanted to visit were about a 20‑minute drive, so I was definitely closer to everything at my earlier hotel.
