The breakfast was fantastic – a buffet with muesli, toast, fruit, salad, pasta, rice, crepes, an egg station, ice cream, savory and sweet porridge, meat and pasta or potatoes – and the hotel sits right next to the train station and the Malioboro shopping arcade. Overall, the small rooms and modern lobby give good value for money. On the same street, several supermarkets, a currency exchange shop, and many restaurants and warungs are nearby. The self‑service laundry with washer and dryer on the ground floor was especially handy. The rooms are a bit old, especially the bathrooms, but the hotel is currently renovating, so the room quality should improve noticeably in the coming weeks and months (as of September 2026). Non‑Muslim guests should also note that Yogyakarta and Java in general have many minarets equipped with megaphones or loudspeakers; around 4:30 am you’ll be woken by loud prayers.

The facilities are great, we booked a massage and it was done in our room; it would have been better on a table instead of our bed. The location is very close to the main street. The pool is excellent – you can swim waist‑deep no matter where you are.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast tasty. The rooms were cramped, with no closet or basket for dirty laundry. The pillowcases were brown and stained. We were woken by construction next to our room, which was not disclosed beforehand, so we arrived to a surprise. When my son opened the tap, it leaked and the floor got wet, but it was fixed quickly. Hygiene matters to me, so that was disappointing and I wonder how long the room had been unused. Four stars for the facilities, but definitely not for the room.

The location was fine, close to a busy street but we didn't feel any disturbance. There were few good eateries, so you have to book a Grab. The room was okay. The bedding had many stains and the pillows had yellow stains, one even green. Reception staff were good, but I had trouble getting a refund for breakfast; I was told it would be reimbursed within a week but I haven't received anything yet.
