“In Summe in Ordnung, der abgelassene Pool war schade, da es für uns ein Buchungskriterium war.”

The food was delicious, the garden is beautiful and the vineyard is very quiet. The pool was drained, so swimming wasn’t an option. It was a bit odd that drinks were only served with the meal, after a 45‑60 minute wait. That was the only time a waiter was present. To get the menu and place an order you have to go yourself, and there was no follow‑up to ask if you wanted anything else.

The owner was kind. To reach the room you have to climb two ramps and there’s no elevator or anyone to help you. The bathroom has a shower with very low water pressure and a short curtain, so the floor gets wet even if you don’t want it. Breakfast is insufficient, and the staff are completely absent.

A great stop when visiting the Okatse canyon; you can walk or drive to the canyon entrance, no taxi needed. Waterfalls, a cave and many other beautiful spots are nearby. The breakfast selection is small but excellent, especially the very tasty pancakes. Plus, of course, wine, chacha and other delights. The host is very welcoming, having lived in Russia for many years.
