The stay was extremely disappointing. The room was dirty and infested with flies and mosquitoes; I was bitten multiple times and now have itchy bites all over my hands. The toilet was outside the room, requiring us to step out each time, it was very small, and the door wouldn’t close properly. The only bright spot was the good location. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

I love how the staff greeted me; someone always offered me tea, and everyone was very kind.

Findik Palas Otel turned out to be a great find for me! Though it’s an older property, the gentleman at the front desk was friendly and welcoming, and the place had plenty of character with paintings along the stairwell and a pleasant entrance. My room had a view over Küçük Pazar Cd., a bustling street with restaurants and shops that quieted down around 11:00 pm. The room was quiet, clean, and had an en‑suite bathroom. The Haliç metro station and the Küçükpazar tramway stop were very convenient, giving me many public transport options. There are plenty of sights in this part of Istanbul. The only drawback was that the area around Galata Bridge seemed a bit sketchy at night; during the day it was fine, but the hustle and bustle at night made me feel a little uneasy, so I’d advise keeping an eye on your belongings.

The location is good, the staff are friendly, and the cleanliness is fine. Room service only starts after an order is placed.

Check‑in was straightforward even though the receptionist didn’t speak English. The room was small with a very tiny bathroom, but the bed was comfortable, there was a fridge, and everything was spotless. The surrounding area is typically messy but relatively quiet, and I generally feel safe in Istanbul. I had to buy toilet paper myself, but luckily there’s a supermarket and long‑open kiosks nearby.
