The silence of the nature is wonderful. The campsite is private.
“Schöner Ort zum entspannen trotz katastrophaler Anfahrt”
Every evening the ranger lit candles. The bathroom was warm, hot water, and well equipped; the water was warmer inside than outside. The site is very remote, with a grill area where you can buy wood. The campsite is about 12 km from the reception, and the last 5 km are a disaster—no step speed was possible, and we had a flat tire afterward. At the gate on the main road a sign read “no entry,” which confused us. The ranger later claimed the tracks on the campsite were from a leopard, but the owner sold them as monkey tracks.
“Excellent and very enjoyable.”
The staff are friendly and the privacy is good. No further comments.
The campsite is huge and original, situated ideally between the Kalahari and the red dunes.
The campsite is very pretty but far from Sesriem and Tsauchab, and you still have to walk 8 km to reach the site with little explanation. The distances between Sesriem and Tsauchab, and between Tasauchap and the campsite, are not clearly explained.
