The location and atmosphere were good, yet the unit would benefit from better maintenance and attention to detail, and the breakfast was mediocre.

“Worst welcome received in a hotel”

The hotel is nice, our room was comfortable and in good condition, except for the shower. We were received by a woman named Ana who shouted at us instead of greeting us; when we arrived we parked our car and left our luggage nearby because the parking is far, and she yelled that we couldn’t enter with the car and forced us to move immediately, never asking why we were there or if we were guests, treating us like intruders. After that we asked if the room would be ready soon and she acted as if we were making an impossible request, displaying the worst attitude I’ve ever seen from hotel staff. That was our welcome. The rest was fine until two days later when we left wet used towels on the floor for them to change (which is normally how it works), but when we returned to shower the same wet dirty towels were hanging again. The trash bins had been accumulating since the first day; after reporting it to reception they changed the towels and emptied the bins. Also, the shower flooded because the shower head is like a strong water gun, making it uncomfortable to shower there.

“Dragulj v parku”

Dinner was excellent, the waiter recommended a suitable wine and the price was not too high. They also have a parking lot which is very convenient for visiting all the attractions in the park, and there’s a romantic sunset view nearby. However, the parking lot is far from the hotel on foot.

“Sehr gute Lage”

An old Quinta with a garden, a large attic room, and an ideal location for touring the Quinta de Regaleira. The refrigerator in the room was a bit loud, otherwise everything was fine.
