The hotel was older but clean, and the bed was comfortable. The fridge, microwave, and TV were all good. The smoke alarm was disconnected, and there was no place to plug in a coffee maker other than next to the bed.

The beds were fine, but it was too loud; I could hear everything happening in the next room. The website listed the price as 119 a room, but after booking two rooms I was charged 209 per room—almost 200 dollars more.

The motel feels like a classic roadside inn, and the staff are genuinely friendly. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. However, I was overcharged – I didn’t bring my reservation card because I was cycling, and when I checked the bill at home I found I’d been charged $20 + tax extra. Also, the room had no hangers.
