The surrounding nature was stunning and the facilities plenty, but the lighting outside the main house’s doors was weak and the uneven paths made walking at night risky; I almost fell a few times. I’d have liked a property map on site highlighting accessible areas – all we knew was the waterfall, which is lovely.

We showed up and nobody was there to help us get checked in, we were expecting a full kitchen in our units- brought groceries and 4 kids (obviously we have to feed them) and found out it’s a little cabin in the jungle with nothing but a bed and a loft, not even a fan. Smallllll so so small that only the bed fit in the room, we could not make that work for us even though we rented two units. We had just paid the rest of the lodging fee, as the owner arrived there to show us to our cabin- but we couldn’t stay there so wound up forfeiting the entire booking fee and having to go find someplace else to stay. The waterfall is not visible from where we were staying- neither was the river, so It felt misleading- but mostly just not functional for our group- zero refund was offered, which we expected because it said non refundable- but since he sat there and coached me how to pay the rest of it to get the door code to check into our unit I thought maybe he’d at least refund the last $500+ and just let us eat the original payment. It just wasn’t at all what we had expected, we paid the price but would not recommend it unless you really just want to be roughing it

The place is gorgeous, secluded, and eco‑friendly, though I never met the owner or management. The facilities were impressive.

“If you like staying in a cabin in the mountains, this is perfect.”

I was a bit nervous after reading past reviews, but once we arrived we fell in love with the cabin in the woods – it was exactly what we wanted. I worried about the lack of AC, but it wasn’t a big deal, and at night the waterfall’s sound was perfect for sleep. The only minor problems were mosquitoes, which you’ll need bug spray for, and a slightly wobbly bed frame with planks that kept falling out; the bed was heavy, so putting it back together was a hassle. It made sleeping a bit awkward because of a dip in the mattress, but we managed to fix most of it and it wasn’t a huge issue.
