Breakfast was basic but cozy, especially when they asked if you wanted poached eggs and similar options; the accommodation was surprisingly good compared to city hotels, offering great value, but the doors in the hallway creaked loudly early in the morning—could the latch be adjusted or a note added to remind guests to be careful?

It was very dirty, with spider webs everywhere; the room was in the basement, completely damp, smelling of mold—gross. At check‑in they immediately offered me, for an extra fee, a single room as a “special offer” so I could have some peace, but I declined and ended up alone in the shared room, which the hosts must have known about. Were they just trying to squeeze more money out of me? The mattress was extremely thin, so you could feel the slats; everything was just disgusting and filthy.
