Penzion U Kapitána

Quiet, it felt like we were at a private guesthouse. The courtyard was nicely maintained, parking was in a closed lot. The two‑storey apartment was interestingly designed, with plenty of storage space, air conditioning, and a fridge. Good location. We were missing a hair dryer and a larger shelf in the bathroom. Otherwise it was somewhat unsuitable for people with reduced mobility—stairs. That didn’t bother us, but it might for others. We also found it a bit odd that the beds in apartment no. 3 were separate.

The place has great vibes, close to the city center with plenty of spots for good food, beer, and wine. The guesthouse itself is spotless, though the rooms feel a bit cramped. It’s a shame there’s no larger shelf in the bathroom. We hope that next time the restaurant will be open so we can enjoy tasty Czech dishes. The large, lockable parking is fantastic. To get organized, you have to spread your toiletries around the whole bathroom because there’s only one small, unfinished shelf. There’s no restaurant, just breakfast.

Great location, everything a short walk from the castle, underground, museum, square. Stairs—an elevator would be nice for older guests.

Very clean, safe parking, and the surroundings are very nice. The breakfasts could be more varied.

“U Kapitána jako doma”

Staying at Penzion Kapitán was very pleasant and the atmosphere was great and friendly. A big plus is the excellent location, everything is close by. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well maintained. I must highlight the staff – they’re extremely polite, helpful, and accommodating. I highly recommend it and will definitely return!
