Basic accommodation suitable for a rustic stay in the Adirondacks, and a short walk to Indian Lake. Beyond two cups, paper bowls, and plastic spoons, there are no in‑room cooking facilities, though gas‑fired barbecues are available. Bring your own cutlery and crockery! A short drive brings you to Indian Lake hamlet with stores and restaurants if you prefer a town vibe. A hotplate or microwave in the room would be a good idea for those who aren’t prepared.

“Relaxing in a warm, beautiful place”

The location was great, and we stayed off‑season when the lakes weren’t swimming or boating; we planned to spend one night—something you can’t do in many places—and the next day at the Adirondack museum. Because there was no TV, we intended to read, but the reading lights were inadequate; we ran into the handyman, mentioned the lights, and he quickly supplied two wonderful standing lamps, solving the problem and letting the reading begin.

“Wonderful stop in the Indian Lake region, comfortable beds and comforters, very clean.”

The interior décor with wood paneling was pleasing, and the Wi‑Fi was great; the beds and comforters were very comfortable. However, the bathroom sink faucets need replacement, and there was no cell service in the area, though the excellent Wi‑Fi in the room made up for it.

The place was spotless, with a fridge, a hotplate for water, and a coffee machine; it also had a nice fire pit with seating and a picnic table with logs provided. It’s a short drive into town, and the staff responds quickly to all questions and provides assistance.

It was good to have extra pillows, but there was no heat available; the windows were stuck open so the room stayed at 60 degrees. The sink had no water, the shower only had lukewarm water, and the lighting was terrible.
