We had a wonderful stay, with incredible panoramic views of the mountains below from the front of the property; we also enjoyed a tour of the observatory, which was amazing. The onsen was very clean and spacious, and the drive up to the hotel was precarious but offered stunning views. The host and staff were very friendly and kind, making our time there delightful—thank you!

Fantastic spot in the mountains—peace, nature, a private observatory, good food, and the sweetest staff. We had some of the best days of our Japan trip right there. We woke at 5 am to watch the most beautiful sunrise over the peaks and stayed one night at 1 am to admire the Milky Way, pure magic. Many say the drive up is tough, so we prepared for the worst, but the road is actually fine and trouble‑free if you drive during daylight.

I loved it—it's true that it's far from civilization, but that’s exactly why nature lovers choose this hotel. They have a fantastic observatory, though because we were in tsuyu we couldn’t see anything due to the cloudy sky. The girl who checked us in was a ray of sunshine, and the rest of the staff learned to say goodbye in Spanish to bid us farewell. I would definitely come back a thousand times; it’s one of the coolest and most unique places I’ve stayed. The only thing I didn’t like was that the toilet was outside the room, but it wasn’t a big deal. I’m still hoping to return soon.
