It was far below average: the ice machine was broken, the refrigerator almost fell out of its unit when we opened it, there were no vending machines, no complimentary breakfast, and no snack bar.

I had to be moved to Hometown Studios because Red Roof had no rooms left even though I’d booked well before summer; the room had a full‑size fridge, microwave, and a small sink. The beds were too small and wobbly, there were water stains on the bathroom ceiling, and the hallway and pool area were noisy. I ended up in a room right by the pool.

The front desk person on Sunday morning was lovely, but the room was filthy, had no TV, and I had to climb stairs to a back door that was propped open. The shower was dirty, toilet paper was blocking holes on the bathroom floor, and there was noise in the hallways.
