The owner was especially nice, the cleaning lady was friendly and even told us the name of the kitten! The environment was very clean, giving the feeling of a childhood home, very comfortable, and I really liked Penang and would stay again if I get the chance.

The cat was cute, and the check‑in had a thorough explanation and quick replies that were very helpful. You can also rent a bicycle, which is great.

The kittens are adorable, playful, and very affectionate; having them at the reception was an incredible experience. The staff were very friendly. The location is perfect, close to a street full of food stalls. I recommend it 100%.

The location was great, but because the rooms have no windows or vents the bedroom had a strange smell the whole time and there was nowhere to dry towels or replace them. If you like cats the hotel is full of them. My only complaints about the cats were that some of them scratched at the door at night as previous visitors had to let them into the room. There are signs saying not to let stray cats in and not to let house cats out, but it’s not obvious which is which. Some have collars but they’re not all the same colour, so it’s impossible to know who you can or can’t let out. One time, three cats wanted to get out at the same time; we managed to keep them all in somehow even though one got outside, but we didn’t know if that cat was accidentally let in at a different time and meant to be outside. If the doors were actually separated with a porch or airlock, it would be a lot easier to keep cats in or out, and it would help if all house cats had one obvious colour collar so you’d know who can be let out.
