The mattress was the highlight—recent, clean, and comfortable, so we slept well. We appreciated the ample towels and constant water pressure. The round wood inside the chalet gave it a charming rustic feel and every room was spotless. The old furniture was the only downside, but it didn’t spoil our stay in the area; a few armchairs could use a modern update. In the room there were two large desks and no bedside tables—having one desk and two small bedside tables would be more practical for glasses, a book, or a phone. There was no hook near the entrance to hang our raincoat or jacket. The worst part was the kitchen: the cook couldn’t grill a steak or fish because there was no range hood to vent the smells, and there was no BBQ, so we couldn’t enjoy a proper chalet steak.
“Pour le Saint Laurent”
The location was great, right next to the Saint Laurent. The rooms were a bit rustic but still comfortable.
The price was good for what we got, though the place was old but still clean; the river wind rattled the chalet’s exterior with a strong gust.
