Both kids and adults were charmed by the cute goats, and we loved the pool. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff took care of my child’s allergies, which I really appreciated. There are several eateries nearby, so dinner was never an issue, and an evening stroll on the sandy beach of Kawahira Bay revealed crystal‑clear water. No complaints at all.

The inn sits opposite the Kawahira Bay visitor centre in a quiet little neighborhood with a bus stop; although there’s no chain convenience store, a handful of small restaurants, izakayas, burger stalls, noodle shops and a bakery are within walking distance. Staying here makes trips to the northern attractions easy. The place isn’t large, but it has everything you could need – a swimming pool, an outdoor hot tub, a sauna you can book, and free laundry spin‑dry facilities. The owner keeps a few adorable sheep in the courtyard. It’s most convenient by car, though buses also reach it; just note there’s no nightlife and the alleys get rather dark after dark.

The room was nice with air conditioning and I slept wonderfully. It’s close to the bus stop that shuttles around the island.
