The location was good and the balcony with sea view was nice, but we were uneasy about room security: the manager asked everyone checking in to screenshot all lock codes from his phone, and we saw him do the same for two other guests (see picture of the requested codes). We slept with a sofa chair in front of our door nightly because we doubted safety. Food quality was poor: the breakfast sandwich had mold (see picture) and the waiter removed what she called a tomato seed and returned the sandwich; we then ordered different breakfast items, but the grapes we received had a hair (see picture). The blanket cover on our bed was dirty with a large yellow stain (see picture). The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was half broken, causing the paper to slip off. After checking in, we showered and found hair on the wall and dirt on the floor (see picture).

The place is very pretty and well‑maintained, very close to the center and the beach, which is definitely a huge plus. Breakfasts are large and very tasty. I recommend this property.

A nice small hotel with 9 units in good standard, great restaurant by the sea, 20‑minute walk to Heraklion’s old town, free parking nearby, ideal for a short stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the airport transfer was quick. We had room 5 facing the street, so without sound‑proof windows it was very loud from traffic, and a neighboring club played music until the morning on one evening. Breakfast started at 9:00 am, which should be considered for early departures. We booked breakfast, which is a la carte with crepes, toast, or omelette plus one drink; it was okay but a bit hard to get used to.

“Bello ma non funzionale”

The room was clean, located right in the heart of Heraklion, and the balcony was spacious with a great view. We reported the late‑night music issue and the host promptly refunded the room. However, the room was not very functional—there was little space for luggage, and it wasn’t a suite since there was only one small bedroom and bathroom. The noise from the bar below, blasting loud music until 3 am, shook the windows and kept us from sleeping.
