Located in 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, the Bromley Court Hotel is 10 miles south-east of central London. Free WiFi, on-site parking, and wired internet in rooms are available. Each air-conditioned room features a flat-screen satellite TV, hairdryer, and tea/coffee facilities. The hotel is 1 mile from Bromley town centre, near 3 golf courses and within a 20-minute walk to The Glades shopping centre and Ravensbourne Rail Station.

At first glance the hotel looked good, but the room was disappointing, the location was poor, and the bathroom door was a faulty bifold; the only bright spot was breakfast. We were placed directly above the orangery where a wedding reception was happening, despite asking for a quiet room. The night reception explained they should have informed us about the wedding, but they didn’t, and we would have stayed elsewhere.

The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was cramped with a tiny sink that made it hard to turn around, and we could only get hot water because the shower taps were broken.

We came for a friend’s wedding and the place was easy to locate, set in a quiet spot near Bromley High Street, though the area isn’t what it used to be—once lively, now run‑down and far from the bustling shopping scene it once enjoyed. We were told we’d been upgraded to a premier room, but the space we received was a small, cramped, overpriced box that felt more like a Holiday Inn room in size and comfort, and the bar staff clearly needed more training—two ladies couldn’t identify a white wine spritzer and one even admitted she didn’t know how to pour a beer. Paying over £200 for a night at a supposed premier hotel, I expected better service.

We stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the garden and, as the “Guest of the Day,” we were pleasantly surprised with an upgraded room and a complimentary drink each night. This was our second visit and it lived up to expectations: tasteful, high‑quality décor without pretension, a relaxing atmosphere, friendly and polite staff, and excellent breakfast. The only minor gripe was that a few items on the hot breakfast buffet were just warm, though still tasty and edible.
