It’s very basic but costs half the price of other city centre hotels, and it’s smack in the heart of the northern quarter. The pub downstairs has a good atmosphere. The only issue was that I couldn’t get the TV to work.

Everything was much better than I expected! This was my first trip to Manchester and I was traveling alone. Everyone was so helpful, and I honestly didn’t expect everything to go so smoothly and comfortably. Even though I checked in quite late, they waited for me and assisted with everything. The entrance was through the bar downstairs, which I didn’t know beforehand, but I had no trouble finding it. The beds were incredibly comfortable, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and everyone was happy to help with anything I needed. I had a lovely stay, and everything was extremely clean. Overall, everything was wonderful, and I really appreciate all the help and hospitality. Thank you so much! The only negative thing was that the floor seemed a little old and creaked quite a lot when walking. This may not be something the host can control. However, because the bathroom and toilet were shared, some of the other guests were quite noisy late at night, and I woke up several times. I think this was more down to the other guests than the accommodation itself.

They allowed an earlier check‑in and were really helpful and nice. We also managed to enter the hotel later at night after the game, and overall it felt safe and cozy. The condition isn’t perfect; some things work, some might be rusty, but nothing is hidden or unexpected, and the information and photos from the booking are correct. The price is quite high compared to European prices per value, but it seems acceptable based on UK prices.

I can’t fault it for a budget stay. It’s clean, comfortable, and in a great location. I would definitely stay again.
