It wasn’t clear during booking whether you were reserving just a dorm bed or the whole room for private use, so you couldn’t be sure strangers wouldn’t enter at night. We decided not to stay and booked elsewhere. The front was closed and looked dodgy, and the entrance location was unclear.

“Eigentlich gut, aber...”

Clean, central location and easy access with a key box. The room was fairly spacious for two people and the Wi‑Fi worked flawlessly. The two free drinks for non‑daily room service were a cool idea for environmental reasons. The biggest drawback, which explains the 7/10 rating, was that our room was at the beginning of the hallway, apparently right next to the elevator machinery, so every time the elevator moved it was very loud. Since all rooms were on higher floors (4‑6), the elevator was called often, making late‑night and early‑morning trips very uncomfortable. It seems unfair to rent such a room at that price. We also felt it was a pity that there was no table or larger workspace for laptop use. The bathroom, with its toilet, could be tight for larger people and has no proper vent, so it gets very steamy and wet quickly while showering.

“Um die Schanze kennen zu lernen, ist das Hotel wirklich perfekt gelegen.”

The room was great, perfect for our family. The location in Schanze was excellent, within walking distance of all Schanze spots. The beds were top quality, everything was super clean, and the receptionist was very nice! Unfortunately, we could hear the communal bathroom’s flush tank all night.
