We had a relaxing time, the place was quiet and beautiful, but there was no TV, limited internet, and the phone service was spotty depending on what you’re looking for. We thought the units were self‑contained, which we’ll keep in mind next time.

The place was quiet and peaceful, the staff were very accommodating, there was a friendly horse and great kitchen facilities, and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was having to leave.

I loved the secluded spot and the gorgeous countryside; the cabin was very clean, the twin beds were comfortable, and the lodge offered a generous breakfast. The open wood fire made the wet, cold morning cozy and nice. A second bedside lamp would have been appreciated.

The place feels like a quirky country hideaway – clean, tidy and genuinely welcoming, with Sean and Jay always on hand to sort anything we needed. Our cabin had a compact bed‑and‑bath setup, a little table, fridge and kettle, and the massive communal room with a roaring fire and leather chairs was perfect for hanging out.

The setting is fantastic – lots of wildlife, including Max the horse, and the shared kitchen and lounge areas made it easy to meet other guests. Sitting by the evening fire was a real treat, and even though the rustic vibe isn’t for everyone, I was completely sold. The only snag was that Wi‑Fi didn’t work in our cabin, which wasn’t a problem for me but did bother my daughter.
