“Fantatisch!”

We really enjoyed our stay at Château La Barge; Elisa and Roland welcomed us warmly and invited us to a delicious barbecue with other guests, and our 5‑year‑old son had a great time; the pool, beautiful nature, and morning walks were wonderful; everything was perfect—hospitality, great location, peace, and a nice atmosphere made our stay complete; it’s a place where you feel at home instantly and where both young and old can enjoy; we’ll definitely return.

“Un manoir en Périgord où il fait bon vivre.”

The manor, set up as comfortable guest rooms and cottages, kept cool in the heat, was “in its own juice,” full of charm, quiet, and just steps from the Auvézère, the enchanting Saut du Blâme where you can swim, and the old blast furnaces of the Forge d’Ans on the Canons road; our host Elisa gave a warm welcome; there’s also a garden, terraces for outdoor dining, a pool, and a small campsite—an idyllic place to live with a simple, family‑like vibe. Everything was perfect, except for a cold water tap in the kitchen that didn’t shut properly, but that’s a minor detail.

“Heerlijk verblijf om tot rust te komen”

A lovely spot to unwind; the cottage had all the comforts, the Dutch owners were welcoming and helpful, the barbecue they arranged was fantastic, and fresh baguettes and croissants were delivered daily. For day trips, you sometimes had to drive a bit far.
