The Cedar Lodge in El Portal offers an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a 5-minute drive to Yosemite National Park's entrance, and an on-site restaurant serving dinner daily. Period wood furnishings and colourful accents adorn the rooms, equipped with air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, coffee-making facilities, and en suite bathroom. Skiing at Badger Pass is 30 minutes away, and Half Dome is 21 miles distant.

The hotel has a spacious room and the common area includes a convenience store where you can buy bread, cold cuts, frozen meals, and more for in‑room dining. There’s also a restaurant that opens at night, offering homemade dishes, fast food, drinks, and a variety of beers. I liked everything.

Near Yosemite and the beds are good, but some lighting and the phone didn’t work.

In Yosemite this is one of the good choices, but for what you pay the rooms could be cleaner.

Very close to the park, the bed was shockingly comfortable, there was an enormous bathtub that fits two people, easy to check in and out. It was very expensive for a single night. Paint was peeling off of the bathroom door in big strips, the rooms look like that they could use a little bit of care

Location was close to Yosemite National Park entrance. The property is in dire need of a refresh. Rooms are dated. TV reception poor. Property restaurants not opening at 5pm posted opening time
