The blend of old and new, with a very original mix of modern design, made it anything but a cookie‑cutter stay. The location was very central yet surprisingly quiet. Some of the black furniture in the room and hallway had chipped edges; a quick touch‑up with a small pot of paint might fix it.

The historic house offered an incredible view, and the shower was a real surprise—just a wash in the room without curtains, a bathtub, etc., with the drain in the middle of the floor. It was unusual. However, everything happening on the floor above could be heard, which was a drawback.

The room was lovely, with a walk‑in shower and a river view from the fire escape; overall a nice spot to spend a night. The building is managed separately, so there’s no restaurant, bar or reception area, which was fine for us.

The location is good, but you have to check in at Goliath. The single room is completely unacceptable: the bed is only 90 cm wide, the shower isn’t separated by a curtain or glass wall, so you’re basically showering in an open camper and the whole bathroom feels flooded. The mirror is crooked between the sink and toilet, and the bathroom door won’t close. It’s very noisy; you can hear footsteps in other rooms, and there’s no elevator, making it a nightmare to stay in that room.

Das Zimmer im historischen Gebäude (aus den Jahre 700-800) ist architektonisch höchst interessant umgebaut und erzeugt eine ganz spezielle Atmosphäre. Für Kulturinteressierte ein Höhepunkt
