“Publicidad engañosa!!”
The house is pretty good if we had the space we actually booked. It turned out to be a big scam! A week before our trip I contacted Javier to arrange arrival and key handover and he told me “Booking messed up” and that he had offered an extra reservation to another group of six people in the apartment we had booked, forcing us to share common areas and give up two of the four rooms we had reserved months ago. In exchange he offered what he called an “apartment” in the garden, which turned out to be a shed with a sofa bed and a bathroom without a shower (you have to go through the shared living room and use the disabled bathroom at the house entrance). Two of my friends had to spend a horrible night there, so badly cramped that they decided to go to Madrid to sleep at their home, only to return the next day. Three days before we left, when I asked Javier why we had to sleep that way if we were seven and the other group six, and the house can accommodate 25 people with two separate living rooms and kitchens, I found out that another eight people would be staying at the same time. When we arrived, part of the space we had reserved (I have screenshots of my reservation photos) was taken for those other eight people, blocking access with a lock on a door. Additionally, in the living room (which Javier said was separate from the others) there were two fridges set up for each group that would be sharing the stay. After filing a complaint with Booking, the owner’s response was that we had been compensated for the inconvenience without charging a seventh person (an issue that Booking had already approved).
