I was drawn to the quirky vibe of the place and ended up enjoying the front porch a lot, plus the cookies, popcorn, and welcome drink were a nice touch. The air conditioning didn’t keep the room cool enough at night, so it got a bit warm sometimes.

Eagle’s Landing sits in a prime spot, making it easy to hit Custer State Park, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and more. The room felt luxurious with top‑tier amenities, and the lodge’s common area was great, offering full access to the kitchen and living room. Every morning a self‑serve breakfast was available, featuring a range of continental options and one cooked dish, which was a pleasant surprise. I met people from all over the country each day and really enjoyed the experience. I did feel that the staff and owners were a bit distant, which felt odd at first, but it’s clear this isn’t a B&B.

We were greeted with fresh popcorn and margaritas on arrival, and the room fit us perfectly. Breakfast was hot and tasty, and honestly, we couldn’t find anything we didn’t like.
