The peace and immersion in the equestrian centre were lovely, though a bit of heat might make it less appealing.

The quiet and location were solid, with no complaints.

The calm, the change of scenery, and being close to my family from Chaumont 52 were all great, plus the warm welcome and getting to know the horses; the path is a bit uneven in places, which was a bit annoying because our car is low.

The tiny house, despite its size, is very well equipped and comfortable; you don’t miss anything. The bedding is superb, the bathroom is spacious enough, and the dining and living areas feel roomy. There’s also a small terrace overlooking the stud farm. The owner brought us fresh bread and pastries each morning. It’s a quiet spot, just a stone’s throw from Chaumont. Note that there’s no restaurant open on Sunday evenings in Chaumont except for chain places. The breakfast could be a bit more substantial – there were few options in the fridge.

We could get in straight away because the key was already on the door, just as the owner had said. The place is very quiet yet only five minutes from Chamarandes and ten minutes from Chaumont, and the owner was very helpful. The dogs and horses were a nice touch. On the downside, “Tiny” really lived up to its name: our suitcases had to stay in the living area because there was no storage, the double‑size bed was far too short for my 1.9 m height, and the shower was cramped. The free breakfast was essentially supermarket bread in a plastic bag, a half‑used jam jar, honey and milk (no butter, which the owner eventually brought after we asked). It works for a single night.
